Elvis Presley was an American singer and actor. He is one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century. His place in American culture is so significant that he has been inducted into four of the five major US entertainment halls of fame. Elvis Presley’s house in Las Vegas is a two-story, cream brick house at 1350 Palomino Drive. The King purchased the house on December 3, 1970, for $55,000 and lived there until his death in 1977. It has remained empty ever since.
The interior of the house has been kept as it was when Elvis died. It includes all furnishings and trophies from his career which he had collected over the years. There are also numerous framed photographs documenting Elvis’ life through the years: of him with his parents, his grandmother Minnie Mae Hood Presley and his daughter Lisa Marie Presley; onstage performing, with friends like Sonny and Cher, Priscilla (Prissy) Beaulieu-Presley who he married in 1967 and with fellow musicians such as Jerry Lee Lewis; relaxing at Graceland; on movie sets; and more.
Elvis Presley’s house was built in 1957 and is located at 1707 Audubon Drive in the gated community of Graceland West in Las Vegas, Nevada.
